Mishloach Manot (Purim presents) at the haredi supermarket chain Osher Ad in Jerusalem.
There is an old tradition is Jerusalem that the weather on Purim is mostly cold and rainy. However, this year, the weather forecast is predicting the exact opposite: Nice and warm weather. 🙂 On Shabbat we may even enjoy 23 degrees Celsius and sun !
In Jerusalem, the first reading of the Megillah is taking place this Thursday evening (after 6 pm). The second reading is going to be on Friday morning at around 8 am. This Thursday night, when Purim is over for the rest of the Jewish world, Jerusalem is starting to celebrate Shushan Purim. Unfortunately, there won’t be too many celebrations this year, as Purim goes straight into Shabbat.
