Crispy Rice with salmon
In the end, I didn’t write as much about Purim, as I was planning to do. Probably because I read too many books and commentaries and got fed up. 🙂 Nevertheless, I had a wonderful Purim although it was extremely short this year. I enjoyed the Megillah reading. There are a couple of Megillah apps for Android and I like the one I downloaded. The app also offers different noises when it comes to Haman. I enjoyed trying them out but I guess that people sitting nearby weren’t that excited. 🙂
On Thursday night, I went with a friend to the Asian restaurant Station 9 at the Old Train Station. A very nice place but you have to come early in order to get a seat. Prices are reasonable and they have a Mehadrin Hechsher.
We basically only had one dish: Crispy rice with salmon. One of their best dishes. Especially the crispy rice.
There were hardly any Purim celebration going on in Emek Refa’im or at the Old Train Station. However, I heard that the great action took place in frum neighbourhoods as well as at the Machane Yehudah Market.
Purim is over now and most religious Jews are already thinking about the Pessach cleaning. This week I am going to start cleaning my bookshelves and slowly slowly move on to the kitchen cupboard. Weather will be warm until Tuesday and then winter is coming back. Just an hour ago, four Palestinian youths ran down our street and smashed the windows of parked cars. The young terrorists had brought hammers and smashed the windows of at least six cars. One car belonging to the EU. Well, they deserve it. All EU employees are pro – Palestinian. Surprise, surprise, now their car window is broken. 🙂
