Photos from the Jerusalem Light Festival 2015

And what have I been busy with since Thursday ? Of course with the annual Jerusalem Light Festival on Thursday night. And a lot of reading on Shabbat.
This year’s Light Festival is much nicer than the one last year. Especially the light show in front of Jaffa Gate which is called FLOWER MEADOW.
Last Thursday night, the Festival was totally crowded. Thousands of people made their way into the Old City and despite all security, the situation was chaotic. There were too many people gathering at certain spots such as around the Cardo in the Jewish Quarter.
The shows are spread all over the Jewish, Armenian and Christian Quarter and the only light installations of the Muslim Quarter are taking place outside Damascus Gate. It is a pity, as Palestinian shopkeepers could make a fortune but they prefer threatening with terror.
Here are a few impressions from the Light Festival and if you are in Jerusalem, it is worth going. The festival is still on this week !
