Chassidut Toldot Aharon / Mea Shearim / Sukkot

Sukkot 2015: “Behind the Mechitzah in Mea Shearim Street”

Mea Shearim is celebrating Simchat Beit Hashoeva during Sukkot and thousands of Haredim, Bochurim and seminary girls are on the road in order to go to chassidic Tishes. I was in the neighbourhood last night and found it, as expected, far too crowded.
The Mechitzah (gender separation) you see on the bottom picture can only be found around the Toldot Aharon Synagogue (bottom picture building on the right side) and across the entrance to the local market in front of the Great Breslover Synagogue. Otherwise there is no further Mechitzah in Mea Shearim.
I am uploading a longer video at the moment which I am going to publish on the blog in the course of the day!
