I cannot believe it: Again, this year Shushan Purim will be celebrated on a Friday!
The first Megillah reading in Jerusalem is taking place on Thursday night (24 March). In other places around the globe, the first Megillah reading will be on Wednesday night.
Unfortunately, this means that we will have the Purim Se’udah (festive meal) at Friday noon and then we have to hurry preparing for Shabbat. I cannot even say whether Rabbi Mordechai Machlis or anyone else is offering a public meal because of the lack of time.
Does anyone know if the Purim Tishes are taking place on Erev Shabbat or maybe on Mozzae’i Shabbat?
I never like it when Shushan Purim comes out on a Friday. 🙂
