This Tuesday evening, the Jewish world is celebrating it’s highest holiday YOM KIPPUR. A 25 – hour – fast and day of atonement. We ask G – d for forgiveness and whatever He decides, He makes His decree and seals it. Nevertheless, we all hope that G – d writes us into the Book of Life and that His judgment will be merciful. Yom Kippur is a happy day although it doesn’t seem so because we are not allowed to eat and drink. 🙂
The weather in Jerusalem is supposed to be hot. October has already begun but it is still hot in Israel. There are going to be 26 degrees Celsius in Jerusalem on Tuesday and 29 degrees on Wednesday.
I was hoping for a cooler Yom Kippur this year but it obviously won’t happen. Instead, we have to deal with the heat. 🙂
