The present visit is only lasting two days. However, this early afternoon, the Satmarer Rebbe Aharon Teitelbaum landed at Ben Gurion Airport and was taken to a private home in Savion (a wealthy Tel Aviv neighbourhood). The Rebbe stays there and is going to pray in Meron.
The way it usually works is that the two Satmarer Rebbes, once they are in Israel, always stay in a private home. Rebbe Aharon has money and I am just asking myself whether he is going to hand out some checks to other chassidic Edah groups.
Sorry, for asking this question but it always reminds me of Rebbitzen Alte Feiga when she was in Jerusalem. 🙂
I actually once saw Rebbe Aharon Teitelbaum at the Satmarer Synagogue in Bnei Brak. It was an interesting event though and I will always remember that. It is just a different style. More New York posh than Israeli Rebbes.
The Rebbe is not going to meet any Israeli politician, as Satmar is extremely anti – Zionist.
